Welcome to Honeycomb, a Bible-reading adventure for kids, teens and adults. These terms are an agreement between you and Honeycomb Bible LLC ("Honeycomb", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them.

1. The service

Honeycomb turns Bible reading into an adventure: reading chapters restores islands, defeats the Deceiver's lies, earns honey and trophies, unlocks games and moves your kart in Room races with your people. Reading and restoring islands are always free. The optional Honeycomb Plus subscription (section 6) adds more.

2. Apple's Standard EULA

If you got Honeycomb from the App Store, your licence to use the app is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These terms add to the Standard EULA. If they conflict about your licence to the app, the Standard EULA wins. Honeycomb, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content, and Apple has no obligation to provide support for it.

3. Accounts and age

By creating an account or using Honeycomb you agree to these Terms. Kids and teens should use Honeycomb with a parent or guardian's permission, and a parent or guardian is responsible for a child's use of the app. Anyone on an account can add reader profiles for others who read on the same phone; reader profiles have no email address or login of their own. Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for activity on your account.

4. Kind and safe play

Honeycomb is used by children and adults. Display names, reader names and Room names must be kind and appropriate. Do not cheat, interfere with the service, or try to get at other people's accounts or data. We may rename, hide or remove names, Rooms or accounts that break these terms.

There is no chat in Honeycomb; the only message between Room members is a fixed "Nudge" reminder to read. You can report a name, block a member or leave a Room at any time from Settings → Room safety. Reports go to our team, who review them.

5. Rooms

Rooms are private groups joined with an invite code. Share your code only with people you know and trust. Parents should approve the Rooms their children race in.

6. Honeycomb Plus subscription

Honeycomb Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly, sold through the App Store. The price and length are shown in the app before you buy.

7. Tickets, honey and other items

Honey, tickets, karts, paints, tracks, trophies and game entries are virtual items for use in Honeycomb. Most are earned by reading. Some, such as ticket packs and bundles, can also be bought as in-app purchases through Apple.

8. Offer codes

We may offer free or discounted access with App Store offer codes, redeemed through Apple, or with codes on our website. Codes cannot be sold or transferred, work once per account and may have an end date. After a free offer period ends, an App Store subscription renews at the normal price unless you cancel. Access you receive on our website also works in the app when you sign in to the same account.

9. Content

Scripture is from the World English Bible, a public-domain translation. The artwork, characters, games, music and the app itself belong to Honeycomb and may not be copied or resold. You keep the names you enter, and give us permission to store and show them to the people who can see them in Honeycomb.

10. No warranties

Honeycomb is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it fast, safe and available, but to the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will always be perfect, uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Honeycomb will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US $50. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

12. Ending service

You can stop using Honeycomb and delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms. Sections 7, 9, 10, 11 and 13 continue after your account ends.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of the place you live requires otherwise.

14. Changes and contact

If these terms change in a meaningful way, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect, and update the date at the top of this page. Using Honeycomb after that means you accept the new terms.
